Volunteer Programs Overview
Blue Star Recyclers volunteer program is a vital component in helping to grow local jobs for people with disabilities as well as educating the community about the benefits of recycling. The volunteer program is designed to provide our advocates the opportunity to fully participate in our mission.
Volunteer Opportunities
Front Office Administrative Receptionist Greets and welcomes the public, assists with clerical work, answers phones, makes calls, answer questions, provides information and directions, processes recycling fees and assists staff as needed.
Recycling Events We offer two types of volunteer opportunities at our events:

Greet and welcome the public, assist in handling recycling fees. |
2. |
Assist in handling recycling material, ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds. |
Outreach and Fundraising Ambassadors Volunteers will distribute flyers and promote our mission and events through various pre scheduled appointments.
Community Education Program Assist in presenting educational material and lead tours of Blue Star Recyclers to schools and business organizations.
